What we carry on an account

Keying and hardware are the same trade as the electronics that control them. Splitting them across two vendors is how buildings end up with a reader that works and a door that doesn't latch.

01 / KEYING

Master key systems

New systems designed to a keying schedule, existing systems extended or reset, interchangeable cores for fast turnover, restricted keyways so copies can't be cut at a hardware store. Key records kept per building.

02 / HARDWARE

Doors & closers

Storefront cylinders and pivots, panic hardware and exit devices, door closers adjusted to sweep and latch properly, strike and frame repair, fire-rated door hardware kept to spec.

03 / LOW VOLTAGE

Access control

Maglocks and electric strikes, keypads, readers and fobs, request-to-exit sensors, intercom tie-ins, door position switches. Credentials issued, revoked and audited on request.

04 / GATES & SAFES

Gates, safes & storage

Gate operator service and control board replacement including discontinued boards, loop detectors and safety edges, safe lockouts and combination changes, package-room and mailbox hardware.

On egress: every locked door on a means of egress has to release when the alarm does. We specify fail-safe versus fail-secure per opening, in writing, before anything is installed — getting that backwards is both a violation and a life-safety problem, and it's the single most common fault we find on inherited systems.

Where a system was installed by someone else, we'll survey it and tell you what's wrong before quoting a replacement. Often it's a power supply and a strike, not a new head end.

How an account works

No contract minimum, no retainer. The point of an account is that the next emergency is handled by someone who already has your keying schedule.

  1. 01

    Walkthrough

We survey the openings, photograph what's installed and note what's failing. No charge, and you get the list whether or not you use us.

  2. 02

    Scope and schedule

A keying schedule and an opening-by-opening scope with prices. You approve it before anything is ordered.

  3. 03

    Paperwork

Certificate of insurance naming your managing agent, W-9, and a named technician assigned to the property.

  4. 04

    Standing coverage

Scheduled maintenance plus 24/7 call coverage at account rates, and key records held so a lost master doesn't become a rekey of the whole building.
